In ISKCON, it’s important for all devotees to honour their guru. Some disciples may think that their ISKCON guru should be honoured as much as Srila Prabhupada, this should be discouraged and checked, and unless the GBC body recognises such a highly exceptional and pure devotee, all these trends and vacillations should be discouraged and stopped if they become a disturbance.
As she was on her way to work that fateful morning, she was already in the lobby of the building when a sankirtan devotee in saffron caught her attention. She saw Srila Prabhupada on the front cover of his one-volume biography, Prabhupada. The sankirtan devotee smiled and motioned for her to come outside to get a closer look at the book.
Padaduli opened the glass door and walked 🚶♀️ toward the book. Just as she was crossing the street, the building collapsed behind her. Saved by Prabhupada, she bought the book.
Nowadays, Padaduli and Rasikendra are dedicated servants of the servants of Sri Sri Radha Nila Madhava at the ISKCON temple in Houston, Texas. Still saved by Prabhupada.
Prabhupada is the founder. Everything he gave us is of fundamental importance. We use Srila Prabhupada’s books, we stick to Srila Prabhupada’s instructions, and generally we quote Srila Prabhupada as the example for others, and generally people are receptive and appreciate and respect Prabhupada. So, you may see the Founder Acarya in that way. Somebody may see the Founder Acarya as the Gaudiya Math people, they say Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati is the founder Acarya. Other people could say Bhaktivinoda Thakura is the founder Acarya. You could take it back and back and go back to Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Caitanya Mahaprabhu is the founder Acarya. But we’re following Srila Prabhupada, in the present times.
