On the auspicious occasion of Srila Prabhupada’s Vyasa Puja Mahotsava 2025, newly formed Srila Prabhupada Connection–Mayapur Team (website to be launched soon) in collaboration with the Bhaktivedanta National School (BVNS), Mayapur, organized a special children’s competition on August 14. The initiative was designed to nurture devotion and inspire the younger generation to deepen their appreciation for the life and teachings of ISKCON’s Founder-Acharya, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada. Over 779 enthusiastic participants from four Mayapur schools joined the celebration, making the event a resounding success. The competitions were held in two categories—an outline colouring competition for children aged 5–9 and a written quiz for those aged 10–15. The quiz drew inspiration from Chapter 3 of Prabhupada: Messenger of the Supreme Lord, which narrates Srila Prabhupada’s transformative journey into San Francisco during the countercultural movement of the 1960s. The children were captivated by his courage, compassion, and innovative approach in reaching out to the youth of that era, leading to the establishment of ISKCON’s San Francisco temple and the first Ratha-yatra outside India.
The wholehearted participation reflected the spirit of Mayapur’s young devotees, who joyfully engaged in glorifying Srila Prabhupada. While winners were recognized for their outstanding efforts, every child who took part was celebrated as a true victor in offering their love and devotion. This event not only honoured Srila Prabhupada but also highlighted the importance of early devotional training for children, echoing his vision of raising a generation rooted in Krishna consciousness.
